Lemon Sauce for Seafood

Ingredients
  • Makes 8 Servings

  • 2 tbsp salted butter

  • 4 tsp white all purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup whole milk

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/8 tsp ground cayenne (red pepper)

Directions
  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Stir in the flour to form a smooth paste.

  3. Gradually stir in milk; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

  4. Cook for 2 minutes or until thickened.

  5. Remove from heat, and stir in lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper.
