Deviled Peanuts

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp margarine

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice (or lemon juice)

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne) (or more to taste)

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3 cup peanuts (or shelled raw pumpkin seeds)

Directions
  1. Combines margarine, lime juice, cumin, black pepper, ground red pepper, and salt together in a saucepan. Cook and stir ingredients until butter has been melted. Stir peanuts into mixture. Coat by tossing lightly.

  2. In a 13x9x2-inch baking pan spread the peanuts out. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until toasted, stirring occasionally, in a 350 degree F oven. Cool mixture before serving.
