Avocado Toast

Spread avocado over a slice of whole wheat French bread for simple and refreshing snack.

Avocado Toast
Ingredients
  • 1 large avocado

  • 4 (1/2 inch) slices whole wheat french bread

  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Directions
  1. Turn the oven onto high broil (about 500 degrees).

  2. Place slices of bread on the oven rack using an oven mitt.

  3. Broil for about 1 minute or until the bread is just toasted and remove from oven.

  4. Cut the avocado length-wise and remove the core.

  5. Divide the avocado over the four slices of bread.

  6. Gently sprinkle with salt and pepper (optional) and serve.
