Want something to get your brain happy and last all day? This is the trick. I use decaf coffee for mine, but you can use high test if you like. This recipe originated in the "Bullet Proof" cook book and has been passed around the net with some variations.
If you are dairy sensitive, leave out the butter and just use the coconut oil. This is intended to be sugar less (not sugar free, but no sweet in it) It is not recommended to consume this coffee if you are eating more than 50g of carbs a day.Ingredients
2 Tablespoons unsalted organic or grass fed butter
2 Tablespoons organic virgin cold pressed coconut oil
8-12 oz brewed coffee
In a blender place all ingredients and blend for about 30 seconds or until the oils are incorporated into the coffee making a nice frothy head.
Drink and enjoy.
Optional add ins:
1/2 teaspoon orange, almond, or vanilla extract
Tablespoon 100% cocoa powder (I find I can't do this without adding something to sweeten it, so I don't do this)
