Beef and Broccoli
Ingredients
  • 1 lb flank steak thinly sliced against the grain

  • 1 TBSP olive oil

  • 1/3 cup beef broth

  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

  • 3 TBSP sesame oil

  • 3 TBSP honey

  • 2 TBSP sherry cooking wine (can be substituted with red/white wine vinegar)

  • 1 TBSP corn starch

  • 3 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 TBSP fresh minced ginger

  • Pinch red pepper flakes

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

Directions
  1. Whisk broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, sherry, corn starch, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes together. Set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sauté beef 3-4 minutes until cooked through and browned. Add broccoli and cook 4 more minutes until broccoli is tender. Reduce heat to medium and add the liquid mixture. Cook 5 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.

  3. Serve over rice or riced cauliflower.
