Cottage Style Tuna Salad

Cottage Style Tuna Salad
  • 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese

  • 1 6-ounce can water-packed tuna, drained

  • 1/2 small green bell pepper, diced

  • 1/4 cup diced celery

  • 1 TBS minced chives

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

  • Pepper to taste

  1. Combine ingredients in bowl; toss lightly to mix. Serve on lettuce leaves.

  2. Makes 3 servings. Nutritional info does not include bread.

This sounds like a great idea for tuna salad! I really like tuna salad but didn't know what to mix instead of mayo.I like cottage cheese and when I was younger, used to eat it on wheat crackers with pepper on top as a snack.

I will be trying this for sure.

I gotta try this… !! … *sigh* But the only ingredient I have in the house is the tuna and I am not sure if its the right size can

Altho cottage cheese does have quite a bit of sodium I am going to try this as it sounds very tastie. I am also going to have this over lettuce llike a salad or filled in lettuce wraps. Thank you
