Chunky Marinara Sauce

You’ll love this traditional sauce on pasta, as a bread dip, even on your breakfast eggs! The yummy possibilities are almost endless.

Chunky Marinara Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 clove gralic, chopped

  • 1 (14.5 oz)can peeled and diced tomatoes

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 2 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender, stirring frequently.

  2. Mix in diced tomato, tomato sauce, oregano and salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until flavors are blended, stirring frequently.

this sounds really good but I have a question, there is no sugar listed in the ingredients but in direction #3 it says to mix in sugar. How much?

Don I think i'll like this recipe, low carbs and low caloies. Do you eat this hot or do you eat this cold or both?
