  • 16 thin slices prosciutto

  • 16 whole pitted dates

  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Directions
  1. 16 pieces

  2. Wrap a slice of prosciutto around each date. Grind pepper on top.

Again, a 0 on this recipe. Most single, pitted dates have twice the calories listed in this recipe!!! And it is almost ALL sugar with less than 2 grams fiber, no protein, etc. The 66 calories in a single date is 16 grams sugar, simply NOT a good choice for any diabetic period. I am constantly amazed at this site and its recommendations for diabetics. Just plain bizarre.
