Easy to make and delicious, this low carb soup will warm up a chilly evening.

Low Carb Bacon Cheeseburger Soup
  • 3/4 lb lean ground beef

  • 6 ounces cooked center-cut bacon, chopped up

  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can Campbell's cheddar cheese soup, undiluted

  • 1/2 cup half-and-half cream

  • 1 -1 1/2 cup low sodium beef broth

  • 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/3-1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon Season-All salt

  1. Brown the beef in a large pot then drain any excess grease.

  2. Stir in the rest of the ingredients then simmer over medium-low heat for 20 minutes. (Stir occasionally while cooking).

Randy, I would say that yes, that carb count is accurate. A can of that soup is only 14g of carbs and that amount of half and half is 4.3g. This is definitely going on my list of things to make this winter.

Are those carb counts correct? The can of soup would be about 25 grams and the two half cups of sour cream and half and half would be another 10 or so.

Why do these reciepes never have the serving size? There are 5 servings for this reciepe but how big is the serving? The nutritional facts don't mean a thing with out the size of EACH serving.
