1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. shortening
16 oz. can unsweetened applesause or 16oz. can of apples or peaches (or fruit of choice)
Preheat oven to 350.
Place flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, brown sugar and oats in a bowl, mix well.
Add shortening, cut into mixture to make crumbs.
Lightly grease sides and bottom of baking dish.
Spread 1/2 of crumb mixture in dish.
Spread applesauce or fruit of choice over top of the crumb mixture.
Spread remaining crumb mixture over top.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
Cut into squares (will fall apart easily, but worth it)
Maybe served with ice cream if desired.
