American Classic Cheesecake
Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 Cups Graham cracker Crumbs

  • 1/4 Cup Splenda

  • 3 TBSP butter, melted

  • 2 (8-ounce) Packages Regular Creme Cheese

  • 1 (8-ounce) Package Fat-Free Creme Cheese

  • 1 1/4 Cups Splenda

  • 4 Eggs

  • 1 1/2 TBSP lime juice

  • 1 Pinch Salt

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Spray 9-inch springfoam pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside

  3. Combine Graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 c. Splenda and melted butter in small bowl. Press on bottom and up sides of prepared pan. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.

  4. Beat

  5. Regular and fat free creme cheeses together at high speed with mixer until creamy; gradually add remaining Splenda mixing well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until each one is incorporated. Add lime juice and pinch of salt and beat until smooth. Pour into prepared crust. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until mixture is almost set, and slightly firm to the touch.

  6. Run knife around edge of pan to release sides, and help prevent cracking. Cool to room temperature on a wire rack; cover and chill at least 8 hours.

Why do we have to eat only a certain amount of protein each day?
I thought that you should eat more protein.

1/4 cup splenda is for the crust. The rest is for the cheesecake. It's in the instructions.

I am going to try it with an almond meal crust, erythritol instead of Splenda and real cream cheese no fat free as it has sugar.

I think it delicious! I have so many issues with carbs…I am so glad this turned out to be a fabulous dessert…only 7g of carbs! Thanks for the recipe…I think I can tweak it for different flavors and I put less Splenda…only a cup in the filling as I don't like it too sweet. I'll let you know about the different flavors…chocolate maybe?
