Cheese Topped Grilled Tomatoes

So simple, yet so much flavor. These grilled tomatoes only have 4 grams of carbs!

Cheese Topped Grilled Tomatoes
Ingredients
  • 4 plum tomatoes, cut lengthwise in half (can use any tomato)

  • 1/4 cup Light Zesty Italian Dressing

  • 1/2 cup Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

  • 2 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese

  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh herbs (basil, chives and/or parsley)

Directions
  1. HEAT grill to medium-high heat.

  2. PLACE tomatoes, cut-sides up, in 8-inch square foil pan sprayed with cooking spray. Drizzle with dressing; top with cheeses. Place pan on grill grate.

  3. GRILL 10 to 12 min. or until mozzarella is melted and tomatoes are heated through.

  4. SPRINKLE with herbs.

Yup the tomato, Start by toasting a slice or two of brown bread (BROWNBERRY OAT) or what ever
In a blender slap in a couple plumers, a handfull of walnuts a widdle bit
of sweet onion,now blent it until it looks like a paste.
Toast is up, now slather it with cream cheese
Now drain tomatos into glass, press a bit, large tea strainer
Now take paste and slather over cream cheese, sorta press into cheese
4 finger it like a open face sandwich and enjoy it or fork it
Oh yea, the juice you drink with your sandwich, honestly it's goog for you, enjoy

Glad to find another summertime recipe for tomatoes. I grow my own and right now have about 2 dozen in the fridge. This one will be used often.

I used to make something similar @ work!! Flat bread or pita bread brushed with Garlic olive oil and sliced tomato's with parmesan dusted on top of the tomato and mozz. cheese and maybe even a slice of provolone on top of that tomato!! LOL Toasted in the broiler until it's all gooey!! Topped woth fresh chopped herbs of your choice!! :) I'm getting hungry!! Ha Ha!!
