Take your T-bones to the next level with a mouth-watering wet rub of zesty sauces and seasonings.

Grilled T-Bone Steaks with BBQ Rub
  • 2 lb T-Bone steak, lean , cut 1 inch thick

  • 1 pinch salt

  • BBQ Rub

  • 2 tbsp chili powder

  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp ground cumin

  • 2 tsp minced garlic

  • 2 tsp cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne)

  1. Combine rub ingredients; press evenly onto beef steaks.

  2. Place steaks on grid over medium, ash-covered coals.

  3. Grill, uncovered, 14 to 16 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Remove bones and carve steaks into slices, if desired. Season with salt, as desired.

  4. Broil Tip: To broil, place steaks on rack in broiler pan so surface of beef is 3 to 4 inches from heat. Broil 15 to 20 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning once

Porterhouse is what I prepare and I like mine with more of a mustard rub than a sweet rub though many do like how the brown sugar glazes on the meat.

If you cant use a t-bone do a simple conversion and use a C-Bone—(chuck steak)psss marinate it for a hour or two it will make it easy to slice.
