Bhajia (Indian Vegetable Fritters)

Ingredients
  • 1 cup shredded cauliflower

  • 1 cup shredded carrot

  • 1 cup broccoli stems shredded well

  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper finely diced

  • 2 tbsp Besan ( chick-pea flour )

  • 1 tbsp curry powder

Directions
  1. Mix the fritter ingredients together, using enough Besan to make the batter sticky.

  2. Taste and adjust salt and seasonings as desired. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Heat oil in a saucepan or fryer to medium heat. appx 325 degrees.

  4. Using a spoon, scoop a little batter into the spoon and drop into hot oil.

  5. Fry until golden brown. Allow to drain and serve with a dip or your choice of chutney.

  6. To make Bason:: 1/2 cup dried chick-peas ground in food processer.
