Asparagus with Orange Glaze (microwave)

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh asparagus

  • 1 T. water

  • 1 T. honey

  • 2 t. cornstarch

  • 1/8 t. salt

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1 T. margarine

Directions
  1. Snap off tough ends of asparagus spears and discard. Wash spears and place in 10 X 6 or 9 X 5 inch microwave safe baking dish. Add water. Cover with vented plastic wrap.

  2. Microwave (high) 5 to 6 miutes or until tender, rotating dish once. Drain and set aside. Combine honey, cornstarch, salt and orange juice in a 1-cup glass measure.

  3. Microwave (high) uncovered, 1 to 11/2 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring once. Stir in margarine. Spoon sauce over asparagus just before serving.
