Baggie Home Churned Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 1 Gallon size zip lock baggie

  • 1 pint size zip lock baggie

  • ice cubes

  • 6oz rock salt

  • 1/2 cup fat free milk

  • 1 tbs splenda

  • 1/4 tps vanilla extract

Directions
  1. fill large baggie 1/2 way w/ice cubes

  2. add rock salt

  3. place milk, splenda, & vanilla in pint size baggie. seal well.

  4. place small baggie inside large baggie, seal large baggie well.

  5. shake large baggie until ice cream forms, about 5-10 mins.

  6. remove small baggie from large baggie & wipe small baggie well

  7. enjoy right from the bag

  8. Additional Info/tips:

  9. You can add sweetener of your choice.

  10. You can use milk, half & half, or cream.

  11. You can alter flavor by adding other extracts, fruit or nuts. Will have to change nutritional info if adding fruit or nuts & when using other than fat free milk. I'm going to try adding some of my whey protein mix.

  12. Great to do w/the kids & grandkids.

  13. Each person can make own flavor.

  14. No bowls to clean

I JUST JOINED TODAY AND TRIED THIS..WASNT BAD ..AND IT REALLY WORKED …NOW I PRINTED MORE RECIPES AND WERE GONNA TRY THEM TO.AND IM SURE WE WILL DO THIS AGAIN.!!

I like the idea of the baggies. I actually have an icecream maker; it has a large piece you have to store in the freezer. It takes up so much space I usually end up taking it out then I don't have it when I want it. Thanks for the info
