Hot Seafood Salad

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sliced celery

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped

  • 1 (8oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained

  • 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can crab meat, drained, flaked

  • 1 (4 1/4 oz.) can shrimp, drained

  • 1 (2.5oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained

  • 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

  • 4 eggs, hard-cooked, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 2 quart casserole.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except bread crumbs; mix gently.

  3. Spoon into greased casserole; sprinkle with bread crumbs.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly and thoroughly heated.

This receipe looks very good,however,why not use all fresh ingredients instead of canned. The celery,onion,pepper,eggs&bread crumbs are all fresh. Why not everything,thus eliminating the salt&other chemicals that has been added to the canning process. Making this for tonites meal and using all fresh.
