Apples a la Richard

Ingredients
  • 5 medium apples

  • 1 1/2 cups diet cola

  • 1/2 teaspoon each - cinnamon and nutmeg

  • 1 TBSP. lemon juice

  • 1 cup pecan pieces (optional craisins or raisins)

Directions
  1. Peel and core apples, cut into medium pieces

  2. Put in saucepan with diet cola, add all other ingredients EXCEPT pecans

  3. Cook until apples soften, stir occasionally, about 25-30 minutes

  4. Add pecan pieces and cook 10 minutes longer; add raisins

  5. Serve hot or cold

  6. Delicious over ice cream

  7. ENJOY!!
