Vegan Tahini

By Gabby

  • 1 C Seasame Seeds (raw, untoasted)

  • 2-3 T Olive Oil

  • 3-5 Cloves of Garlic (chopped)

  • 2-5 Pitted Dates (no sugar added)

  • 1 Lemon (peeled, chunked)

  • 1-2 T Raw Agave Nectar

  1. In a food processor or grinder, blend seasame seeds until smooth. Add oil as needed to make creamy consistancy. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. You may need to add more lemon juice for a smoother consistancy.

  2. Grab some celery sticks or toasted pita bread and enjoy. The sweetness of the dates and agave give it just a hint and cuts the bite of the garlic. YUMMM

You can use honey if you don't have issues with it. I try to avoid honey if it is in quantites over a teaspoon
