quick cook cod fish

Ingredients
  • cod fish, skimmed milk, fresh lemon

Directions
  1. put cod fish in a glass bowl and cover with skimmed milk,cook six to seven minutes in the min=crowave being careful not to let it boil over. keep uncovered. lift cookk fish out letting it drain while you do so. serve with wedges of lemon. The milk firms the white fish up a clue from cordon bleu. It works with all white fish and is delicious with a fresh clean taste. I have no picture unfortunately.

I always soaked fish in milk at least 15 minutes before preparing as it removes that real fishy taste. It gives it a clean, mild flavor. This is something my mother had told me about years ago so I didn't know if it was the sugars in the milk that did that, but it does work. I never actually heated it or cooked it in milk, but just soaked it like a marinade in the refrig for 15 minutes & then just pulled it out of the soak & threw the milk out and prepared the fish however I was going to cook it.
