Crispy Roasted Chickpeas

Crispy Roasted Chickpeas
  • 2 (15.5 ounces) canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  • To taste: salt and pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly coat a jelly roll sheet with oil.

  2. Spread 2 cups of canned (rinsed and drained) garbanzo beans onto the baking sheet & sprinkle with salt and pepper & toss to coat.

  3. Sprinkle with your seasoning mixture. Shake pan to coat beans again.

  4. Roast on bottom rack of oven shaking pan about every 15 minutes until browned and crunchy. Takes about 45-50 minutes. Cool before serving to get the crunchiness.

  5. Experiment with different spices to create your own flavor combination.

I have been making this for years, when I put them in a bowl on the coffee table my family eats them like I just put out a bowl of nuts. You should try it.

I lived in the middleeast ,we can find ready in any plase were they sale nuts etc ,you are right has a lot of fiber !Thanks you just reminded me of this good food !
