Yofruit Frozen Treats

By emt

  • 1/2 cup ANY mashed fruit of your choice

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup no fat plain yogurt

  • 1 or 2 packets stevia sweetner

  1. I use 1/2 cup mashed fruit, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup plain no fat yogurt, and depending on the sourness of the fruit, stevia to sweeten. I mash the fruit in a small food chopper. Pour or spoon into a bowl and fold in the other ingredients until smooth.

  2. NOTE: Using plain yogurt insures me that I'm not getting more carbs than I want.

  3. I put 1/4 and 1/2 cup mixture into snack size plastic bags and freeze.

  4. NOTE: This makes 4 to 8 servings and the nutrition facts are for the entire batch! So enjoy!!!

  5. This can also be made with high sugar to get you back up from a low sugar bout. Just be sure to keep the high sugars in a different box or a different freezer.

I just put 3 containers of the whip fruit yogurt in the freezer last night to freeze for a frozen desert. they were so good. Just like a popcycle. Put of course making your own you can controll the portion size and the sugar & carb; levels..Great idea'thank You

I forgot to add that in place of the water, a non sugared soda or crysatal Lite drink works just fine. Just match the drink to the fruit you are using!
