EGYPTION - Eggplant "Masaka with Lahma Mafromah (Meat)"

Ingredients
  • Two Large black eggplant.

  • One large green pepper.

  • Half garlic Peeled and crushed.

  • Salt and pepper.

  • One large can tomato paste.

  • A lot of olive oil.

  • Three cups of water.

  • Beef Soup or 2 packages of Instant broth & Seasoning "Beef Flavor".

  • One large onion cut into small pieces. Optional.

  • Half pound of ground beef. Optional.

Directions
  1. The same steps as Eggplant "Masaka" except the last step (Bake the Eggplant and the Pepper). Plus:

  2. More steps to preparing the meat:

  3. Step 1: (Brown the Meat)

  4. Brown the meat without oil or butter.

  5. Drain the fat if any.

  6. Set aside.

  7. Step 2: (Brown the Onion)

  8. Brown the onion using olive oil until brown.

  9. Set aside.

  10. Step 3: (Mix the Meat with the Onion)

  11. Mix the beef with the onion.

  12. Set aside.

  13. Step 4: (Bake the meat, Eggplant and the Pepper)

  14. Spread the meat and the onion mix on top of the eggplant.

  15. Sprinkle salt and pepper.

  16. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes 350 degree.

  17. It tastes better to heat it before you eat it with rice or with Pita Bread, and tomato and cucumber salad.

You r like another one on here i love their recipes but wont get them because theres no info facts only a serving and not how much of a serving If you would put in the facts for us diabetics we would respond I hope this helps you because your work is done without all the facts without them it is disasterous to us diabetics!!!
