Venezuelan Guasacaca

  • (served with meat, chicken or any type of empanada or patty)

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • 1/2 onion

  • 1/2 red bell pepper

  • 1 cup of cilantro (if you dont like cilantro you can sub with parsley)

  • 1/2 green pepper

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 1/2 cup of olive oil

  • pinch of cummim

  • 1/4 cup of any vinegar.

  • Salt (or salt substitute) to taste

  • NOTE: This is actually a side dish

  1. Put everything in blender and process until well pureed.

  2. Put into two different salsa bowls so you can add half a bottle of tabasco sauce to a salsa bowl and voila, you have the spicy version as well.

  3. This is delicious on Jamaican Meat Patties or empanadas.
