Chinese -Style Steamed Chicken

  • 4-(6 oz.)boneless chicken breasts

  • 4 garlic cloves minced

  • 1 tbsp.minced fresh ginger

  • 4 scallions chopped

  • 2 tbsp.low sodium soy sauce

  • 1 pepper flakes

  • 1 (1-pound) head of broccol cut into florets

  1. Fill Bottom part of steamer with one inch of water to boil.

  2. Toss chicken with garlic,ginger,scallions,soy sauce and red pepper flakes .coating breasts well.

  3. Place chicken in steamer basket ,pouring remaining soy sauce mixture over chicken,lower basket into water container reduce to a rapid simmer,and cover with a lid ,steam for 5 mins.

  4. Turn chicken breasts ,add broccoli,and continue steaming until chicken is cooked through and broccoli is tender,5 to 6 mins. Serve Hot.

An excellent low carb treat!! I am so happy that it is easy to make and quick to cook. I am always looking for new dishes to fix in my steamer. The ginger and soy will really add some flavor combos to this recipe.
