  • 3/4 lb. ground chuck

  • 3/4 lb. ground veal

  • 1 medium potato, peeled and grated

  • 1 cup onions, grated

  • 2 eggs, raw

  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed or minced

  • 2 hard-cooked eggs

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine all ingredients, except hard cooked eggs, in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well using hands. Divide mixture in half. Press half the mixture into bottom of a greased loaf pan. Arrange hard cooked eggs down center of the loaf. Cover completely with remaining meat mixture and bake 1-1/4 hours. Remove from pan and serve hot, or let cool, refrigerate, and serve cold.

about the hardboiled eggs, are they rubbery by being already boiled and then baked so long? other than that sounds good.
