1/8 teaspoon salt
1 9-ounce package frozen italian stype green beans
1 large carrot peeled and cut into coins (1 cup)
1 tablespoon basil pesto pepper
Bring 1/4 inch water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Add salt. green beans, and carrot. cover and cook. stirring occasionally, until beans are heated through, 5 to 6 minutes. Drain and transfer vegetables to a warmed dish.
Mix with pesto and season with pepeper to taste.
