Soy-Sauced Broccoli and Peppers

Ingredients
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 Tables lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

  • cups broccoli florets( about 1 lb. of florets and 2 pounds with stalks)

  • 2 medium red and/or yellow bell peppers, cut into strips( about 1 1/2 cups)

  • 1 Tablespoon cilantro

Directions
  1. For sauce, stir together soy sauce, lemon juice. garlic, and sesame oil; set aside.

  2. Place steamer basket in a very large skillet. Add water to just below the bottom of the steamer basket. Bring water to boiling. Place broccoli in steamer basket. Reduce heat; cover and steam for 4 minutes. Add bell peppers; cover and steam for 3-4 minutes more or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Drain vegetables; transfer vegetables to a serving bowl. Drizzle sauce over vegetables, tossing gently to coat. Sprinkle with cilantro.

It is going to cost me a fortune at the Farmer's Market this weekend all because of these recipes you keep posting. All of them so far concerning the viggies are a "must try" including this one. It sounds quick, easy, and delicious.
