Shredded Cabbage

  • 1 lb fresh cabbage leaves (white)

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp Margarine, unspecified oil, stick

  • 1 pinch black pepper

  1. Trim and wash cabbage. Slice into 1/8 inch wide slices.

  2. Place water and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Mix in cabbage and cover tightly.

  3. Simmer over low heat for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Drain well before mixing in margarine and pepper. Toss lightly and serve hot!
