Oven-Baked Rutabaga "Fries"

Oven-Baked Rutabaga

  • 2 Rutabagas (small)

  • 2 tsp. Olive Oil

  • Salt, garlic powder, and paprika

  1. Preheat oven to 425F. Peel rutabagas with a paring knife and slice in 1/4" rounds.

  2. Sprinkle with olive oil and a little salt. Place fries on a nonstick baking sheet.

  3. Cook about 12 minutes, turning twice. Take out when golden brown and tender. Immediately sprinkle with garlic powder and paprika.

sounds delectable, i need things like this, most of the time i just don't eat, eating is my least fav thing in the world, i've gotten to the point that i would rather skydive without a parachute, air raises my levels let alone food,lol thanks for the friend request that was nice, and the recipe, i love to cook too so this is just so wrong in so many ways

I liked this! I just need to experiment more with the cooking times. I don't think I let them cook long enough because they were a little too soft for me. I also tried to just use olive oil and "season it all" and that was good too.

I always have a problem with rutabagas. I like them a lot. Ilike to put them i my stew. but 9xs out of 10 the are too old and woody.
