Zesty Lemon Shrimp


  • 12 ounces peeled raw medium shrimp, fresh or frozen and thawed

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons reduced-fat margarine(35% vegetable oil)

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley(optional)

  1. Serving size 1/4 cup

  2. Place a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add the shrimp, worcestershire sauce, lemon zest,and lemon juice to the skillet. Cook 5 minutes or until shrimp is opaque in center, stirring frequently.

  3. Using a slotted spoon, remove the shrimp and set aside in serving bowl. Increase the heat to medium high, add the margarine, bring to a boil, and continue to boil 2 minutes or until the liquid measures 1/4 cup, stirring constantly.

  4. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and sprinkle with parsley, if desired. Serve with wooden toothpicks.

This is really a good recipe to use for the holidays. I bought some shrimp today at the store. This recipe gave ne a new idea on how to serve them. The sauce sounds really easy and good.
