Golden Cornbread

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal

  • 1/2 cup Splenda

  • 1 Tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup 2% milk

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 egg

  1. Combine flour, cornmeal, Splenda, baking powder and salt in a medium sized bowl. Stir in milk, oil,and egg just until all ingredients are moistened.

  2. Spread mixture in 8-inch square pan well sprayed with cooking spray. Bake in preheated 425*F oven for 20 to 23 minutes or until a wooden pick incerted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or at room temperature.

  3. Number of servings: 12
