Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries

  • 2 Tbsp stevia powder (more or less to taste)

  • 1-1/2 cups water

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients in a 4 quart saucepan on the stove. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until all sweetener is dissolved. Bring to a boil and cook until skins burst, about 5 minutes. Serve warm or refrigerate.

This sounds great. I've got bags of frozen fruit from when I thought smoothies were an option…that was before I realized that one smoothie was half a days carbs. I'm going to experiment with this recipie.

I used stevia in apple pie, replace 1/2 the sugar. No licorice taste. great. Use 1 tsp instead of 1 cup sugar

Stevia can be purchased at most health food stores. It comes as powder or liquid. It has a little after taste of licorice that I don't even notice any more. I don't know if you have a Vitamin Shoppe there, but that is where I purchase mine.

This sounds really good. Can you get stevia powder at the grocery store? I have never used it before.
