1 oz prosciutto , thinly sliced
1/4 cup fresh chopped onion
1 tsp olive oil
1 cup Peas, green, sweet, frozen
1/4 cup water
1 Bouillon, chicken, sodium free, instant packet , 1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp ground oregano , crushed, or 3/4 tsp. snipped fresh oregano
1 pepper, black, dash
1 oz pine nuts , toasted (or chopped pecans)
Cut prosciutto into thin strips.
In a medium saucepan cook onion in hot oil until tender.
Stir in peas, water, bouillon granules, dried oregano (if using), and pepper.
Simmer, covered, for 4 to 5 minutes or just until peas are tender.
Stir in fresh oregano (if using) and toasted pine nuts.
