Apple-Glazed Pork Roast

Want an easy-breezy main course that tastes like you slaved in the kitchen for hours? It only takes 4 ingredients and a few short minutes to get this delicious roast ready for your oven.

Apple-Glazed Pork Roast
  • - 2 pounds loin of pork

  • - 1/2 cup apple juice

  • - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • - 1 small apple, peeled cored and sliced

  1. Trim all the visible fat from the roast. Place the meat on a rack that is set into a roasting pan.

  2. Mix together the apples, apple juice and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the apple juice mixture over the meat. Cover.

  3. Roast in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for about 70 minutes.

  4. Baste with pan juices and continue cooking for about 30 minutes or until glazed and the meat thermometer registers "well done for pork".

I am a big fan of pork and that can be a problem when you have diabetes. However lean pork is my safe haven and with this recipe I will enjoy it. Thanks for thinking of us with challenges.

this is great, I served it with green mash potatoes. Broccoli cooked along with he potatoes.

I am curious about substituting the apple to pineapple, however I don't know the sugar content of the pineapple. It sure sounds good and delicious.

have been wanting to try a similar recipe to this one, but it uses applesauce instead of apple juice and it doesn't use a fresh apple. I probably will use the fresh apple and applesauce since I have these ingredients. Thanks, Morning Star
