I've been diagnosed with neuropathy in my lower extremities. I'm very concious of the pain when I'm at rest (sitting, laying down, getting to sleep), when active walking, exercising, etc. I'm not aware of the pain or numbness. Does mental activity play a role in controlling the sensation of the severity of the pain?
