The Aviva is often referred to as the Aviva Plus System. The change in name has to do with the test strips not the meter. The meter has remained the same, but the meter now uses Aviva Plus Test Strips rather than the old Aviva test strips. The entire system is now referred to as the Aviva Plus System.

Accu-Chek Aviva Plus Meter Reviews
Pros: It is easy to use and very compact, easy to read
Cons: test strips were very expensive, even with my ins...30 bucks for 25 strips
Overall: Was given this meter by health care when I left the hospital, but soon discovered that testing 4x per day was way out of my capability to pay. Am now using another meter that is much more affordable and I woud say just as good.By
Pros: easy to use, accurate, VA doctor offices can download meter results
Cons: expensive, I could NOT afford the test strips without the VA
Overall: More accurate than most testers, helps control my blood sugars, easy to useBy
Pros: Great price Alternate site testing Large display Easy to read Simple to use Dependable
Cons: Very happy but if I had to give one thing it would be maybe to have a smaller version but again it's size is OK for me.
Overall: The aviva plus meter is overall a great Monitoring system and most importantly is reliable. The kit comes with the fastclix lancing device, 10 fastclix lancets and 10 aviva plus test strips.By
