Spinning Classes

Spinning is a stationary cycling workout class. Classes typically last about an hour and are excellent way to exercise your heart, and tone your glutes, thighs and calves. Classes usually consist of a half dozen to twenty participants on stationary bikes. The instructor will mentally lead the class on a ride that includes sprints, hill climbs, intervals and circuits. A great workout that nobody finishes last and everybody gets a great workout to good music. You are also able to control your own pace and resistance so it works for all levels of fitness. It is also a low-impact exercise so people with painful joints can be involved as well. The American Diabetes Association recommends 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week.
