Pregabalin Reviews

Pros: I am currently on Gabapentin but was on Lyrica years ago before doctors took me off it. Lyrica works a lot better than Gabapentin. My pain was more bearable when I was on Lyrica.

Cons: Causes vision issues in some. Be careful taking medication if you have to drive at night. I experienced flashes of light while driving at night.

Overall: Not a bad medication to take.

Pros: Works with some minor side effects.

Cons: Expensive, slight weight gain and swelling in feet.

Overall: Was on Gabapentin and had horrible experience so was put on Pregabalin (Lyrica) 3x 100mg daily and it works can sleep at night with out laying in bed getting mad at the sheets touching my feet.

Pros: Does relieve the pain in my feet!

Cons: Expensive! Many side effects, for me!

Overall: My PCP took me off Gabapentin because I was swinging off the ceiling fan....and was really hyperactive! Then my PCP put me on Cymbalta which took the pain away but, also made me really hyperactive and ready to do something really stupid! After that he put me on Pregabalin 100 mg. 3X daily, couldn't tolerate that, cut the dosage to 100 mg. at 8 PM and was having the same hyperactivity, very sleepy while driving and real difficult to concentrate! He dropped the dose down to 50 mg. at 8 PM and I have taken this for about two weeks. So far I have not had any negative side effects but, I am starting to get pain in my toes and feet and am wondering if, this is going to work at all! Am wondering what drug is next and what kind of side effects that will bring......? Just another "Speed Bump" in the road of a diabetic!

Pros: None that I can think of.

Cons: Alert! This medication is very Hard to get off. You have withdraws like sweat, shakes, headache. Yes I also gained weight since I've been on this medicine around 10 lbs. I have a balance problem, but I'm not sure if it is from just one medication. I also have some swelling when I'm on my feet too long. Don't start Lyrica, I wish I never did. By the way it didn't help my nerve in my feet.

Pros: I am still trying to find a Pro??

Cons: Expensive! Weight gain, swelling of hands and ankles, loss of balance.

Overall: I was taken off gabapentin and placed on Lycria by my PCP because of balance and concentration problems. Since I have been on the Lycria the balance problems are worse, I cannot concentrate and all I want to do is sleep especially when I am driving! As for the pain in my feet...really hasn't helped much! My overall experience with this drug is not favorable besides it is really expensive!
