Calcium channel blockers are an oral medication used to treat hypertension. They prevent calcium from entering cells of the heart and blood vessel walls, which lowers blood pressure. Some calcium channel blockers also slow down your heart rate and relieve chest pain. They can be used to control irregular heartbeat. All calcium channel blockers relax and open up blood vessels by affecting the muscle cells in the arterial walls.

Calcium Channel Blockers Reviews

Overall: I was on many blood pressure pills and water pills to try to control my high blood pressure, nothing was bring it down. Finally after seeing another Doctor, he took me off everything and but me on the Norvasc. To me it the wonder drug within 2 months my blood pressure was under control.. 5 stars in my book!

Pros: This is the only blood pressure pill that has worked for me.No bad side effects or anything. The doctor just had to put me on a water pill because the top number was higher than he liked.I think maybe the reason is my A1C was 9.9 this time

Overall: I would rate it a 10
