This oral medication causes the heart to beat more slowly and with less force, thereby reducing blood pressure. Additionally, they help open up blood vessels to improve blood flow.

Atenolol/Lisinopril

Pros: Both are good at lowering bp Lisinopril protects the kidney function and Atenolol is good for controlling chest pain,

Cons: Having to take one in the morning and one at night the Atenolol will make you sleepy

Overall: Taking the both of them have kept my bp down for years and I am doing better then I have in a while.

carvedilol and lisinopril

Pros: Lowered blood pressure to tolerable limits

Cons: Deeling giddy, tired, weak, no stamina. Better off without these meds. What's the point in taking this stuff if all you're going to feel like doing is sit. That's not living, just existing

Overall: Poor
