The Ornish Diet

Dean Ornish, a professor of medicine at University of California, San Francisco, is the author of The Spectrum, a 2007 book that lays out nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional support needed to achieve any goal. He divides foods into five groups from most healthy to least healthy. There's a great deal of freedom with the Ornish diet--which can be good and bad. If you feel comfortable learning principles and then applying them on your own as your plan your own menu, this plan can be great. If you desire more specifics as to what you should eat each day, this may not be the plan for you.
