Insulin Glulisine is a rapid-acting insulin for adults with type 2 diabetes or adults and children (4 years and older) with type 1 diabetes to improve blood sugar control. Insulin glulisine given by subcutaneous injection is usually used with a long-acting insulin in patients with type 1 and oral diabetic medications in people with type 2. Insulin glulisine is a short-acting, manmade version of human insulin. Insulin glulisine works by helping move sugar from the blood into other body tissues where it is used for energy. It begins working in about 15 minutes with peak action reached about an hour after injection.

Overall: work well i had some lows with it but it is a good insulin

Pros: This insulin works well and is dependable to keep blood sugars down, use with meals

Cons: cost

Overall: I felt comfortable taking this insulin and it did a good job of keeping my blood sugars in control so long as I did my part correctly.
