The DASH Diet

Weight gain instead

Pros: eating all my favorite foods.

Cons: My dietitian placed me on the Dash Diet and limited me to 1200 calories. I was able to eat my favorite foods, fish, nuts, ect. I followed this religiously instead I gained weight, lots of weight. In 3 weeks from the day I started I had a Doctor appointment with my PCP, I gained 8 pounds. Yes 8 pounds. I'm still trying , I have an appointments next week with both PCP and Dietitian hopefully there will be a change, but at this time clothing I have been wearing seems to be tighter.

Overall: At this time not happy

Raw Food Diet

Definitely

Pros: By putting all raw fruits and veggies in your body you are putting food in your body the way God intended. The best place to find this is Halleluja Acres the website hacres.com . But it does include 85 percent raw and 15 percent cooked. A lot of raw juicing.

Cons: It all depends on the area you live. In the mountains in Beckley, WV it is strangely hard to go vegetarian in this area. It is mainly meat eaters and going out to eat with family that isn't doing this type of diet is hard

Overall: At one time I was 226 lbs. I dropped 75lbs in three months on this diet. That was four years ago. I have not gained anything back matter of fact after quitting the diet I have kept on loosing.
