Hi Amy. My name is Aldora & I have a couple of questions: I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I've lived with Type II diabetes since 1995. Are there any complications that I should know about considering that this is my first child? My only other question that I have is in regards to the labor pains; I know that it might seem rare (though I could be wrong in the matter) but should I worry also if I have a fear of dying during childbirth? Thank you very much for reading my inquiry & I appreciate any help.
My morning blood sugars have been running higher. Do you have any suggestions? I have had my diabetes type 2 in control until very recently. I am on several meds but recently my morning readings have been over 200. Before they were around 120. Diet and exercise have been the same. I walk at least once a day and stay on the right foods.
I would like to know why an in control type 2 (on glimeperide, tramadol, lisinopril, and myotoprolol) would have trouble gaining a little bit of weight, or at least maintaining what I already have? I am 70 yrs old, 5'9", and 138 lbs. I also have dysphagis which causes me to eat slowly to avoid choking. I have the most trouble with thick liquids, mashed potatoes and similar foods. meat, toast, chips, etc are easier.
i just got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and need to know if me working in a kitchen counts as exercise. I work at a hospital and its a pretty large kitchen so im constantly on the move. I have lost 10 pounds since working in this kitchen. I just found out I have t2 about 2 weeks ago and have cut out all sodas and sugar. no white bread or white rice. I switched to brown rice and whole wheat products like bread and tortillas. in feb I had a a1c of 11.6. I need any help available thanks!
