I was diagnosed with type 2 prediabetes in 2007, since then I was told I was diabetic type 2, not prediabetic. But I'm still on Metformin. It seems that this medication is causing pain in the liver area. I have had several tests done for other parts of the body, i.e. stomache, gallbladder, etc.. to find out what the pain is but to no avail. I have chosen not to take Metformin at all and see if I can control my sugar levels without this medication. I don't feel that my current doctor helps.
