My son has type 2 diabetes. His doctor prescribed metformin and lantus. He develops an arrhythmia every time he takes any type of insulin. He complains of feeling nauseous, moody (testosterone is very low) and tired. He's 28. The doc says this will change (not the arrhythmia) as he adjusts to treatment. I thought once treatment was started he would feel better, but they are having him graph his numbers and adjusting the insulin about every week. I'm concerned about him not getting enough rest.
