If you have been told your fasting BC is high, and your A1C is 6.9, should you have a meter to check your BC?? I have been trying to stick to a "diet" for diabetics and Pre-Diabetes is my only "Diagnosis" to date. I feel like I should be testing and have not been told to do so by my Primary Care Doctor, but my Cardiologist says my BC and A1C are higher than they should be. All I know is that I need help figuring all this out. I got tested to start with because I lost 40 lbs in 6-8 months.
