What do you think about drinking Almased for diabetes?

Amy Campbell

Almased is a soy-based powder that is mixed with water, skim milk or soy milk and is used up to three times a day as a meal replacement . The claims made are that drinking Almased helps to lower high insulin levels, speed up metabolism, burn fat, reduce appetite, lower blood pressure and LDL cholesterol, and also keep blood glucose levels balanced. The company’s website states that Almased’s effects are backed by clinical studies, although the citations for these studies are not provided. I’m not aware of any significant studies that support their claims. If you are interested in trying Almased, I suggest that you first have a discussion with your dietitian and healthcare provider to determine if it is a good option for you.
