How accurate is testing for BG on your arm, palm of your hand, or leg?
Hi and thanks for the question! Most (newer models) meters allow the capability for alternative site testing as it helps those who have fingers that may be brittle or cannot seem to draw enough of a blood sample in order to provide a reading. If you see that your readings are different or are not comfortable with the results you are getting I would highly recommend consulting this with your doctor. I did find an article that may answer this question more in depth...http://www.diabetesselfmanagement.com/Articles/Diabetes-Definitions/alternate_site_testing/ Hope this helps!
